A Fine Guitar Consultants Exclusive: The final commemorative serial numbers for Standel 25L15 "Vintage Plus" amplifiers.
Here at FGC, we have available, on a first come, first served basis, the remaining amplifiers under s.n. #64, historically tying in with the first 64 25L15 amps that were handmade in the 1950's. Available at this time, are: S34, S36, S41, S42, S52, S53, S54, S55, S56, S57, S58, S59, S60, S61, S62, S63, and S64. This quiet 26 (true) watt Class "A" amplifier looks like Chet Atkins' amp did when it was new (Since the mid 1950's, every recording he made was with his old serial #20 from the original sixty-four 25L15 amps made in Standel founder Bob Crooks's garage.).
If you are looking for the clear, musical tone that helped shape the sound of many steel and country guitar players like Chet, Joe Maphis, Merle Travis, Speedy West and many more, this sound is for you. Until now, the old tone of the first Standel amp had been missing for so many years. These amps are available with options like 3-tube, 3-spring buffered reverb, buffered all tube parallel effects loop, and a wide choice of colors and exotic woods. 20.25"H x 22.25"W x 10.5"D at bottom, tapers back & front to 7.5" at top. An original JBL D-130 speaker, manufactured by JBL in the 1960's, is standard on these amplifiers. Please call us for ordering options and prices on all Standel products. We are the source for Standel amplifiers and the sister studio recording products by Requisite Audio Engineering. Fine Guitar Consultants is proud to be their largest dealer, worldwide and their sole reseller in the USA. Call now to reserve one of these with a eighteen-month delivery and get the lowest possible serial number, if that is an important aspect for you.

2003 Standel Switchmaster Amplifier 30A24 "Stage to Studio"
Standel has branched out with sweet sounding pre-amp, amplifier, and speaker distortion as the "old school" company covers new categories. Their legendary hand made "killer clean" amps are now joined by some "blue" and "rocking" cousins! This is the modern-day "Blues/Rocker" of the Standel line. For electric guitarists that need all the true tonal possibilities in one totally tube amp that IS NOT a modeling amp, this is one to get. You don't have to fight this amp to get it to perform. It is naturally, dynamically responsive and has no bad or unusable settings! A Class A all-tube amp with a quartet of EL84s, and a 5AR4 rectifier. One clean channel that can be set in a range to slightly overdrive sweetly, if needed--and one distortion channel with the full range from soulful blues to heavy metal, all dialable and attack sensitive. With the Full power-Half power switch, you can go from 30 watts down to 15 watts in one click. The footswitch provided can take you from rythym to lead (like a "soundman in a box!") You can have full-on distortion at whisper quiet room volume--or any level you choose. Mic the 2-Celestion Alnico Blues to take the tone to the people. This is probably one of the ultimate rock experiences on wheels! Lighted front and rear panels. Open back trapezoidal architecture. Black and white 'salt and pepper' woven grille cloth.
